Adams Street Partners Expands Credit Team with New Partners

7 February 2025
Adams Street

Adams Street Partners, a prominent global private equity firm managing over $61 billion in assets, has announced the appointment of Emily Siau and Nolan Poker as new partners in its private equity credit team. This strategic move aims to bolster the firm's private equity credit business.

Both Siau and Poker are seasoned professionals within the team, responsible for the entire investment decision-making process. Their roles encompass sourcing, structuring, due diligence, and negotiating private equity credit deals, all from the firm's New York offices.

Bill Soccer, a partner at Adams Street and head of the private equity credit division, praised the new partners for their ability to achieve strategic results despite rising interest rates in the private equity sector. He expressed optimism that Siau and Poker would provide leadership to enhance value and expand operations in the core middle market, which focuses on small to medium-sized businesses with annual sales between $50 million and $100 million.

Emily Siau joined Adams Street in 2016, bringing experience from Alvarez & Marsal's Restructuring Investment Banking advisory team and Citigroup's leveraged finance division. Nolan Poker, who became part of the firm in 2019, previously worked at Houlihan Lokey Capital and has extensive experience as a private equity investment specialist at SLR Capital Partners.
