Advent Promotes 75 Employees and Welcomes 10 New Partners

Advent International, a prominent global private equity firm, has announced the promotion of 75 colleagues and the addition of 10 new partners as of January 17, 2025.

The newly promoted individuals include eight internal promotions and two new hires. James Brocklebank, Managing Partner and Co-Chair of Advent’s Executive Committee, expressed enthusiasm for the new partners and promotion class, highlighting their exemplary track records and alignment with the firm’s collaborative culture. John Maldonado, also a Managing Partner, emphasized the importance of acknowledging the value that employees bring to stakeholders.

The following individuals are new partners at Advent:



Geographic presence

Advent International, founded in 1984, operates with a focus on transforming businesses through partnerships with management teams and entrepreneurs. The firm manages over  $93 billion in assets and has made more than 420 investments across 43 countries. Its expertise spans five core sectors: business and financial services, consumer, healthcare, industrial, and technology.

With a global presence in 16 offices, Advent leverages its extensive resources, including a Portfolio Support Group and insights from industry experts, to enhance the performance of its portfolio companies.

Fund Strategy

Advent International invests across three active fund programs:

Global Private Equity (GPE): This flagship program focuses on buyouts and growth equity investments across various sectors and geographies. The latest fund in this series, GPE X, closed in May 2022 with $25 billion in commitments.  

Global Technology (GT): Launched to capitalize on emerging technology trends, this program invests in a broad range of tech-related businesses. The most recent fund, Advent Global Technology II, closed in December 2021 with $4 billion in commitments.  

Latin American Private Equity: Dedicated to investments in Latin America, this program targets opportunities across the region. The latest fund, Advent Latin American Private Equity Fund VII, closed in September 2020 with $2 billion in commitments.  

Additionally, the firm is planning to introduce a global lower mid-market investment strategy, targeting equity investments between $50 million and $200 million per deal
