Ardian Acquires Atout-Box Self-Storage Company in France
Investment firm Ardian has acquired Atout-Box, a self-storage company based in the Occitanie region of France, for an undisclosed amount. Founded in 2010, Atout-Box operates seven storage centers and provides additional services such as co-working spaces, daily van rentals, and designated areas for heavy goods delivery.
This acquisition enhances Ardian’s self-storage platform, which was initiated in late 2023 with the purchase of Costockage. The expanded portfolio now comprises 19 centers located in various regions, including Île-de-France, Occitanie, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Bretagne, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, and Hauts-de-France.
Omar Fjer, Ardian's real estate managing director, emphasized that acquiring Atout-Box is a significant advancement in the strategic growth of their self-storage platform. He noted Atout-Box's established centers and operational expertise, which have made it a prominent player in southern France. Fjer highlighted the company's commitment to customer satisfaction and quality management as crucial factors for future growth.
Jean-Baptiste Bertrand, president of Atout-Box, expressed enthusiasm about partnering with Ardian. He believes that Ardian's asset management and real estate experience will facilitate Atout-Box's expansion across France, positioning it as a major contender in the self-storage market. Bertrand also mentioned that Atout-Box's expertise in customer relations and operational management will contribute to the success of this collaboration.
Overall, this acquisition marks a strategic move for Ardian in the growing self-storage sector in France, with both companies optimistic about future developments.
