Bridge Data Centres, a data center operator owned by Bain Capital, has obtained a significant loan of US$2.8 billion to enhance its operations in Malaysia. This marks the company's largest bank financing arrangement to date.

The five-year syndicated loan will primarily be utilized to refinance existing facilities and support expansion efforts. Bridge Data Centres is a subsidiary of Wintrix, previously known as Chindata Group, which Bain Capital privatized in 2023 through a US$3.2 billion acquisition.

This financing underscores Bain Capital's commitment to strengthening Bridge Data Centres' position in the growing data center market in Malaysia.
