BGF, the leading growth capital investor in the UK and Ireland, has appointed Rosaleen Blair CBE as a non-executive director on its Board. This addition enhances BGF’s leadership team, bringing in Blair's extensive experience in entrepreneurial leadership and corporate governance, which will be crucial as BGF continues to support the growth of businesses in the region.

Blair is a prominent figure in the recruitment industry, having founded and led AMS (Alexander Mann Solutions) to become a global leader in talent acquisition and management services. Her tenure at AMS included navigating various economic challenges and managing four private equity partnerships. Additionally, she serves as the Chair of Kaison Group PLC, a FTSE-listed company.

Her appointment comes on the heels of BGF’s £25 million commitment to the Invest in Women Taskforce, which has raised £250 million to support female entrepreneurs and businesses in the UK. Over the past five years, BGF has emerged as the most active investor in female-led scaleup businesses, investing over £500 million in this sector.

Blair's accomplishments have earned her recognition, including being named a Veuve Clicquot Businesswoman of the Year and receiving a CBE. She is also involved in advising businesses across various sectors, further solidifying her expertise in the investment landscape.

Ian Livingston, non-executive chair of BGF, expressed enthusiasm about Blair joining the Board, highlighting her proven ability to lead and scale businesses. He noted that her insights will be vital as BGF seeks to enhance its impact and support its portfolio companies.

In her statement, Blair emphasized her alignment with BGF’s mission, particularly in promoting female-led businesses and supporting underrepresented groups. She looks forward to collaborating with the Board and team to further BGF’s initiatives in these important areas.
