Conscia, a leading provider of cybersecurity and networking solutions, has expanded its European presence by acquiring Silta, a Belgian technology firm. This acquisition marks Conscia's entry into the Belgian market and is part of its broader strategy to enhance its operations across the Benelux region.

Silta, founded in 2018 and based in Antwerp, specializes in secure, connected, and managed hybrid cloud solutions. The company has established a strong reputation in Belgium, serving a diverse clientele in the public, industrial, and service sectors. With a team of 20 skilled professionals, Silta is recognized for its expertise and customer-centric approach.

Erik Bertman, Group CEO of Conscia, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, highlighting that Silta's values and focus on technology align well with Conscia's mission. He emphasized that this partnership will enhance Conscia's customer value proposition in cybersecurity, managed services, and hybrid cloud solutions.

Marcel Cappetti, General Manager at Conscia Netherlands, noted that the company had been seeking a way to enter the Belgian market for some time. He believes that Silta's established reputation and complementary services will create numerous opportunities in Belgium, which has a mix of large organizations and smaller players.

Silta will operate under the name Conscia Belgium, with its current directors, Gunter Van de Cauter and Ronnie Dibbaut, continuing to lead the organization. They will serve as primary contacts for customers and partners in Belgium, integrating their operations with Conscia's existing teams in the region.

The acquisition is part of Conscia's ongoing growth strategy, which has seen the company complete 21 acquisitions across nine European markets since 2013. The financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Conscia, owned by private equity investor Nordic Capital, has a workforce of approximately 1,300 employees and serves large organizations across various sectors, including finance, healthcare, and retail. The company reported a 32% revenue increase in 2022/23, reaching EUR 582 million.

Silta's expertise in cybersecurity and cloud services, combined with Conscia's extensive resources and market presence, is expected to drive growth and innovation in the Belgian market. This acquisition not only strengthens Conscia's footprint in Europe but also enhances its ability to deliver tailored IT solutions to its customers throughout their technology lifecycles.
