Cotswold-based tech support company Kubus has secured a £9 million investment from growth capital investor BGF. The funding will be utilized to accelerate the company's growth, which serves notable clients such as Dell, Fortinet, and Cisco.
Following the investment, Paul Brennan, a member of BGF’s talent network, has joined Kubus as non-executive chair. Brennan previously served on the board of Amdaris, another BGF-backed firm that was acquired by Fortune 500 company Insight Enterprises in August 2023.
Andrew Humphrey, CEO of Kubus, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with BGF, stating that it will help the company leverage expertise and resources to enhance its global presence. He emphasized the company's commitment to innovation and delivering value to customers, noting that the investment will facilitate faster growth and development.
The investment deal was led by BGF investors Edwin Davies and Louis Hall from the South West team. Davies highlighted Kubus's strong vendor relationships and established customer base, indicating that the company is well-positioned to seize upcoming market opportunities.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024, Kubus reported a turnover of £35 million and an EBITDA of £2.6 million, showcasing its financial performance. The investment deal was supported by legal and tax advisors from Squire Patton Boggs and Marcussen for Kubus, while BGF was advised by Michelmores and PKF Francis Clark.
Overall, this investment marks a significant step for Kubus as it aims to expand its operations and enhance its service offerings in the technology sector.
