FRP Corporate Finance has facilitated a significant investment for BBS Law, a Manchester-based legal firm, from private equity firm Aliter Capital. The FRP team, led by directors Daniel Brecker and Alex Starling, provided strategic advice and prepared a comprehensive exit review, assessing the M&A landscape in professional services.
Founded in 1978, BBS Law employs 65 staff and offers diverse legal services, including corporate, property, and family law, with offices in Manchester and London. Aliter Capital, established in 2016, specializes in supporting high-growth SMEs in the UK support services sector and aims to bolster BBS Law's growth and development plans through this investment.
In recent years, BBS Law has successfully completed two acquisitions, and FRP Corporate Finance intends to maintain a close relationship with both BBS and Aliter as they pursue further strategic opportunities to expand BBS's offerings across the UK.
Daniel Brecker from FRP Corporate Finance remarked on BBS Law's strong management team, highlighting its appeal for private equity investment. He noted that Aliter Capital is a culturally compatible partner with the necessary resources to help BBS achieve its ambitious growth objectives through both organic means and targeted acquisitions. Brecker expressed optimism about the potential rewards for both parties in the evolving legal sector M&A landscape.
