Gresham House, a London-based alternative asset manager focused on sustainability, has appointed Hyewon Kong as its new Sustainable Investment Director. In this role, she will enhance the firm’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives across various investment strategies.

Kong brings over 20 years of experience in sustainable investment, having worked in Asia, Europe, and North America. Her most recent position was as Head of Responsible Investing at the Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO), where she led sustainable investment strategies and ESG integration for over four years. Before that, she served as Assistant Vice President and Head of ESG at AGF Investments, managing around $600 million in global sustainable and impact investments.

Throughout her career, Kong has held various influential roles, including serving on the Investment Committee at The Atmospheric Fund and as a member of the Environmental Finance Advisory Committee at the University of Toronto. Currently, she is on the Board of Directors at the University of British Columbia (UBC) Investment Management and co-founded the Canadian Responsible Investment Working Group.
