Inflexion, a prominent European mid-market private equity firm, has appointed Shane Gong as a Managing Director in its Investor Relations team. He will oversee investor relations in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region and will spearhead the opening of a new office in Singapore. This appointment is part of a broader strategy that includes recent senior hires such as Sachin Mitra and Alec Cote, who will focus on investor relations in EMEA and North America, respectively.
Shane Gong brings over 20 years of experience in private equity capital raising, direct investing, and mergers and acquisitions across Asia. Before joining Inflexion, he served as Managing Director and Head of Evercore’s APAC Private Capital Advisory group for five years. His previous roles include over a decade at CPE Capital (formerly CHAMP Private Equity), where he was involved in both investing and capital formation, as well as positions in M&A advisory at Rothschild and Macquarie Group.
Sachin Mitra, who has been appointed as Managing Director for EMEA investor relations, has over 15 years of experience in the field. Before joining Inflexion, he was a Partner and Global Co-Head of Relationship Management at Aviditi Advisors, an independent advisory firm that was later acquired by Piper Sandler. He also spent nearly a decade with Evercore’s Private Fund Group, managing investor relations across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East.
Alec Cote, the newly appointed Director focused on North American investors, previously worked as a Principal at Carlyle Group. During his nearly ten years there, he concentrated on relationship management, product development, fund formation, and marketing strategy across Carlyle's investment platform.
These strategic appointments reflect Inflexion's commitment to enhancing its investor relations capabilities and expanding its global footprint.
