1 August 2024
Yorkshire
Littlefish, a managed IT and cyber security services provider based in Nottingham, has acquired Storm Technology, an Ireland-based consultancy specializing in Microsoft solutions. Founded in 2003, Littlefish has grown to employ nearly 700 people and received backing from Bowmark Capital in 2022, alongside a reinvestment from LDC.

This acquisition aims to meet the increasing demand for Microsoft-focused business solutions and to broaden Littlefish's customer base in Ireland through Storm Technology. CEO Steve Robinson emphasized that this move represents a significant step in Littlefish's evolution from a small startup to a competitive alternative to larger IT outsourcing firms. He expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with Storm Technology to enhance their Microsoft service offerings.

Storm Technology's CEO, Karl Flannery, highlighted that joining Littlefish aligns with their growth ambitions and facilitates entry into the UK market. He noted that the partnership would enhance their capabilities and create a comprehensive digital operating platform. Flannery also stressed the importance of maintaining their core values of customer experience and operational excellence throughout this transition.

Littlefish received advisory support from EY’s Dublin corporate advisory team and a combined legal team from Browne Jacobson, ensuring a smooth acquisition process.
