Michelle Scrimgeour, the former CEO of Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), has joined private equity firm Bridgepoint as an independent non-executive director.

Scrimgeour led LGIM from July 2019 until December 2024, when she resigned amid a restructuring that shifted the firm's focus towards private markets. Her extensive experience in the investment sector includes serving as CEO for EMEA at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, as well as roles at M&G and BlackRock.

In addition to her corporate roles, Scrimgeour has been actively involved in industry organizations, previously serving as deputy chair of the Investment Association and chairing the technology working group for the UK government's asset management taskforce.
