Neal Griffith has been appointed as the CFO designate at ECI, set to take over from Philip Shuttleworth, who will retire at the end of the year after nearly three decades with the firm. Griffith previously served as CFO and Chief Risk Officer at Equistone Partners Europe, where he began as Group Financial Controller in 2017. He also held the position of Fund Financial Controller at BC Partners before joining Equistone.
Griffith expressed enthusiasm about joining ECI, citing the firm's successful track record and promising future plans as key factors in his decision. He looks forward to working closely with Shuttleworth during the transition period, which he believes will be beneficial.
Chris Watt, Managing Partner at ECI, welcomed Griffith to the team, emphasizing the importance of his experience as the firm prepares for future growth. He noted that Griffith's expertise will be crucial as ECI continues to deploy capital and build on its history of successful exits.
Philip Shuttleworth, the outgoing CFO, also expressed confidence in Griffith's capabilities, stating that ECI will be in good hands as it enters this new phase. The transition is seen as a strategic move to ensure continuity and stability within the firm.
