Global private equity firm Permira has appointed Anish Patel as Partner and Co-Head of Climate. Patel will be based in London and will co-lead Permira’s climate investing team alongside Kush Patel.

Anish Patel joins Permira from Kerogen Capital, where he was a Partner and senior member of the investment and portfolio management team. Before Kerogen, he worked in corporate finance at JP Morgan Cazenove, advising clients in the energy and industrial sectors.

This appointment comes after Permira established a dedicated climate investing team. The team focuses on both assets, such as projects and platforms, and enablers, including associated products, services, and technologies.

Last month, Permira also added Paddy Padmanathan, the former CEO of ACWA Power, as a senior adviser to its climate investing team.
