LDC, a prominent private equity investor, has successfully exited its investment in Blis, selling the company to T-Mobile for $175 million after a fruitful three-year partnership. Blis specializes in privacy-centric advertising solutions, utilizing advanced omnichannel targeting to connect brands with their audiences.

LDC initially invested in Blis in June 2022, supporting a management team led by Founder and CEO Greg Isbister, along with other key executives. During LDC's investment, Blis significantly enhanced its technology platform and expanded its workforce, increasing its turnover by 75% and growing its headcount from 240 to over 320. This growth was fueled by expansion efforts across Europe, the USA, and Asia.

The acquisition by T-Mobile is expected to enhance its advertising capabilities, allowing for more effective addressable omnichannel advertising through innovative, cookie-less technology. This move will not only strengthen T-Mobile's marketing strategies but also provide a comprehensive solution for other brands seeking privacy-focused advertising options.

Founded in 2004 with support from the King’s Trust, Blis has been a pioneer in the advertising sector. LDC has been a long-time supporter of the King’s Trust, helping over 4,400 young entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds to establish and grow their businesses.

Greg Isbister expressed gratitude for LDC's support, noting that their partnership has enabled Blis to seize growth opportunities and invest in technology and talent. He looks forward to the future as part of T-Mobile's international group.

Vinayak Hegde, T-Mobile's Consumer Chief Marketing Officer, highlighted the need for effective ad solutions that are consumer-friendly and scalable. Early pilots with Blis demonstrated its capabilities, particularly in mobile advertising, making it a valuable addition to T-Mobile's advertising technology portfolio.

David Andrews, a partner at LDC, praised Blis as an innovative disruptor in the advertising industry. He emphasized the importance of privacy-respecting solutions that allow brands to connect with their audiences meaningfully. He expressed confidence in Blis's future potential with T-Mobile.

Both LDC and Blis received advisory support from Houlihan Lokey and DLA Piper LLP, while T-Mobile was advised by Allen & Company and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP.

This transaction marks a significant milestone for Blis, showcasing its growth and innovation in the advertising space, and sets the stage for further advancements under T-Mobile's umbrella.
