Artemid Acquires Majority Stake in DRIESCHER in Germany

14 February 2025
CAPZA
Artemid has made its first investment in Germany by acquiring a stake in DRIESCHER, a prominent provider of essential grid components. This move underscores Artemid's ambitions for growth across Europe, particularly in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).

Founded over 85 years ago, DRIESCHER has built a strong reputation as a reliable partner for municipal utilities, industrial clients, and railway operators. The company specializes in solutions that facilitate the expansion and modernization of energy grids, employing around 500 people across four production sites in Europe.

DRIESCHER serves key markets in Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria, and Switzerland, and boasts a robust portfolio with 18 global offices and approximately 300 patents. This extensive experience positions DRIESCHER as an innovative leader in its field.

In this transaction, Artemid collaborated with a consortium of banks to arrange senior debt financing, allowing IK to secure a majority stake in DRIESCHER. This strategic investment aligns with Artemid's goal of supporting transactions throughout Europe, with a strong emphasis on the DACH market.

The funds managed by Artemid are overseen by CAPZA, an asset management company, while Artemid SAS, a subsidiary of CAPZA, provides financial advisory services. Registered with Orias since May 28, 2014, Artemid SAS holds the status of a financial investment advisor in France.
