Private Equity News

European mid-market private equity firm Inflexion is set to sell its investment in Lintbells, the company behind the YuMOVE brand of pet supplements, to Vetnique Labs, a portfolio company of Gryphon Investors. This sale represents a highly successful exit for Inflexion Enterprise Fund IV, generating a 5.5x return.

Lintbells, based in Hertfordshire, UK, was founded nearly two decades ago by Dr. John Howie DL and John Davies. The company specializes in scientifically supported supplements for pets, addressing chronic health conditions. Its YuMOVE products include joint mobility supplements for dogs and cats, as well as supplements for digestive health, anxiety, skin and coat, and dental care.

Since investing in Lintbells in 2017, Inflexion has supported the company in various growth initiatives. These include expanding its direct-to-consumer channel and successfully entering the US market, both organically and through the acquisition of Walkin’ Pets.

Inflexion has a strong track record in the pet-care market, with previous successful investments in companies like Medivet and Kynetec. The sale of Lintbells to Vetnique Labs underscores Inflexion's expertise and success in this sector.
