PR Newswire
KPS Capital Partners has successfully completed the acquisition of INEOS Composites, which will now operate as a standalone entity named Alta Performance Materials. This transition marks a significant milestone for the company, which specializes in unsaturated polyester resins, vinyl ester resins, and gelcoats.

Headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, and Barcelona, Spain, Alta employs around 900 people and manages 17 manufacturing facilities and three technology centers across various regions, including North and South America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Andrew Miller, who previously served as CEO of INEOS Composites, will continue to lead Alta as its CEO, supported by the existing senior management team.

Miller expressed enthusiasm for this new chapter, emphasizing the company's commitment to innovation and excellence in the composites sector. He highlighted the advantages of being an independent company focused solely on composites, which will enhance their ability to develop future materials in collaboration with customers. Miller also noted the positive partnership with KPS, given their extensive experience in growing industrial companies.

KPS Capital Partners, a prominent global private equity firm, aims to leverage its decades of experience in the process industries to transform Alta into a leading competitor in the manufacturing sector. Raquel Vargas Palmer, Managing Partner at KPS, stated that they will foster an entrepreneurial culture centered on innovation, continuous improvement, and superior customer experience.

Alta Performance Materials has a rich legacy rooted in industry pioneers such as Dow and Ashland. As it embarks on this new journey, the company is focused on agility, growth, and a renewed entrepreneurial spirit. Miller reiterated the commitment to delivering exceptional value to customers through quality and innovation, now with increased flexibility.

The company produces a wide range of composite materials used in various applications, including building materials, recreation, transportation, and wind energy. Alta's products are designed to optimize characteristics such as corrosion resistance, fire retardance, and high strength-to-weight ratios.

KPS Capital Partners manages approximately $19.7 billion in assets and has a long history of investing in manufacturing and industrial companies. Their strategy focuses on enhancing the strategic position and profitability of their portfolio companies through constructive collaboration with management teams.

In summary, the acquisition of INEOS Composites by KPS Capital Partners marks a pivotal moment for the newly formed Alta Performance Materials, which is poised to innovate and grow in the composites industry while maintaining a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and product excellence.
