KPS Capital Partners Acquires INEOS Composites for €1.7 Billion

INEOS Enterprises has finalized the sale of its composites business to KPS Capital Partners for approximately €1.7 billion. This transaction is seen as a strategic move that positions the business for future growth opportunities.

The composites division generates over €800 million in annual sales and employs around 900 people across 17 locations and three technology centers in Europe, North and South America, Asia, and the Middle East. Andrew Miller will continue as CEO following the acquisition.

This business is recognized globally for producing resins and gelcoats used in creating strong, lightweight composite plastics. These materials are essential in various applications, including automotive, marine, construction, and electronics, enhancing product features like fire and water resistance, UV protection, insulation, and overall durability.

Ashley Reed, Chairman of INEOS Enterprises, expressed satisfaction with the deal, emphasizing that it builds on the solid foundation established over the past five years. He is optimistic that under KPS’s ownership, the business will thrive and expand in the future.

KPS Capital Partners manages investment funds totaling approximately $19.7 billion as of December 31, 2024. The firm has a proven history of successful acquisitions and investments in manufacturing and industrial sectors, spanning basic materials, consumer goods, healthcare, automotive parts, and general manufacturing.

Raquel Vargas Palmer, Managing Partner at KPS, expressed enthusiasm about acquiring INEOS Composites. She highlighted the company’s strong market position and loyal customer base, which reflect its high product quality and innovation. KPS plans to leverage its extensive experience in process industries to provide strategic support and capital, aiming to enhance commercial and operational performance. Palmer looks forward to collaborating with CEO Andrew Miller and the management team to accelerate the company's value creation strategy.
